Another government assistance program offered is MCC. This
program offers a tax advantage instead of a lower interest rate.
MCC is very popular because the tax advantage often lowers total
housing expense more than the HFA program. MCC will also allow
the bower to choose the mortgage program they prefer. Because
funding for the MCC program in California is very limited, the
